**Book Blog 2008**

It's been just over a year since my reading frenzy began. I can't even really remember a time when I wasn't reading. My goal for the year was to read 25 books. I reached that goal on December 5th, 2007 at 1:11 AM, when I finished The Golden Compass, by Philip Pullman. I then continued on to read Love, Stargirl, by Jerry Spinelli, What You Don't Know About Mysterious Places, by Ryder Windham, and The Eyre Affair, by Jasper Fforde for a total count of 28 books.

For now I have decided not to set a goal count for 2008. I'm going to continue posting my completed books here, along with the overall book number at the top. I might set a new goal for myself at some point during the year, but for now I'll just go where the wind words take me.

While my reading binge didn't start until January '07, I'd like to put down a few honorable mentions of books from '06.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
1, 2, and 3.
by Ann Brashares

Eragon.
by Christopher Paolini

A house called Awful End.

by Philip Ardagh

2007 was a good year for books, and 2008 'll be even better.

From the day she arrives at quiet Mica High School in a burst of color and sound, the hallways hum with the murmur of "Stargirl, Stargirl." She captures Leo Borlock's heart with just one smile. The students of Mica High are enchanted. At first. Then they turn on her. Stargirl is suddenly shunned.
