Are We There Yet?

Book #244 (Unique books)
Book #22 in 2014
 Are We There Yet?
by David Levithan
"Sixteen-year-old Elijah is completely mellow and his 23-year-old brother Danny is completely not, so it’s no wonder they can barely tolerate one another. So what better way to repair their broken relationship than to trick them into taking a trip to Italy together? Soon, though, their parents’ perfect solution has become Danny and Elijah’s nightmare as they’re forced to spend countless hours together. But then Elijah meets Julia, and soon the brothers aren’t together nearly as much. And then Julia meets Danny and soon all three of them are in a mixed-up, turned-around, never-what-you-expect world of brothers, Italy, and love."

The Lover's Dictionary

Book #207 (Unique books)
Book #18 in 2013
 The Lover's Dictionary
by David Levithan
 "basis, n.
There has to be a moment at the beginning
when you wonder whether you're in love with the
person or in love with the feeling of love itself.
If the moment doesn't pass, that's it--you're done.
And if the moment does pass, it never goes
that far. It stands in the distance, ready for
whenever you want it back. Sometimes it's even
there when you thought you were searching for
something else, like an escape route, or your
lover's face."

So they create their "No Kiss List" of people neither of them is allowed to kiss. And this works fine - until Bruce. Bruce is Naomi's boyfriend, so there's no reason to put him on the List. But Ely kissed Bruce even though he is boring. The result: a rift of universal proportions and the potential end of "Naomi and Ely: the institution." Boy Meets Boy

Book #202 (Unique books)
Book #13 in 2013
 Boy Meets Boy
by David Levithan
"This is the story of Paul, a sophomore at a high school like no other: The cheerleaders ride Harleys, the homecoming queen used to be a guy named Daryl (she now prefers Infinite Darlene and is also the star quarterback), and the gay-straight alliance was formed to help the straight kids learn how to dance.

When Paul meets Noah, he thinks he’s found the one his heart is made for. Until he blows it. The school bookie says the odds are 12-to-1 against him getting Noah back, but Paul’s not giving up without playing his love really loud. His best friend Joni might be drifting away, his other best friend Tony might be dealing with ultra-religious parents, and his ex-boyfriend Kyle might not be going away anytime soon, but sometimes everything needs to fall apart before it can really fit together right.
This is a happy-meaningful romantic comedy about finding love, losing love, and doing what it takes to get love back in a crazy-wonderful world."

Every Day

Book #200(!) (Unique books)
Book #11 in 2013
Every Day
by David Levithan
"Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl.

There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere.

It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day."

April  5th (late) to April 7th (early) - about 38 hours - kindle book

Notes:
I am head over heels in love with this book and David Levithan and that surreal feeling that falls over everything when I finish a book that entirely absorbed me

I loved everything about this book and I loved that it was a standalone novel because so many books have unnecessary sequels lately which bothers me

and I just ♥ David Levithan ♥

The Realm of Possibility

Book #199 (Unique books)
Book #10 in 2013
The Realm of Possibility
by David Levithan
"One school. Twenty voices.

Endless possibilities.

There's the girl who is in love with Holden Caulfield. The boy who wants to be strong who falls for the girl who's convinced she needs to be weak. The girl who writes love songs for a girl she can't have. The two boys teetering on the brink of their first anniversary. And everyone in between.
As he did in the highly acclaimed Boy Meets Boy, David Levithan gives us a world of unforgettable voices that readers will want to visit again and again. It's the realm of possibility open to us all - where love, joy, and the stories we tell will linger."
